Every year at this time I write a post about my husband, Yooper Stewart—it’s his birthday, and I love to celebrate it with him! His birthday isn’t the only reason to celebrate this month, though. This is a busy, fun month around our house, and here’s why:

  • Mom’s birthday
  • Hubby’s birthday
  • Nephew’s birthday
  • Wedding anniversary
  • Thanksgiving
  • Black Friday
  • University of Michigan vs. Ohio State University football game (Go Blue!)

Yes, those last two are worth mentioning because we make special provisions on those days. Because we don’t need a new TV or computer every year, we don’t get up early on Black Friday—we’re usually looking for new thermoses, a coffee pot, a blanket, etc., so we can head to the stores around 9-10 a.m. and still get everything we want.

The Michigan/Ohio game is really my day. Yooper Stewart doesn’t really care about or watch sports. I, however, grew up in a maize and blue home. Labor Day weekend and Thanksgiving weekend are exciting for me for the football as much as anything else. My hubby tolerates it (though he’s a big fan of the food). Honestly, there hasn’t been much for Wolverine fans to celebrate the past few years, but I’m always hopeful.

Now that you’ve had a peek at how we celebrate November, how are you celebrating this month?
