After the tear-inducing book #8, I was hoping for a less serious mystery in #9. This book didn’t disappoint. The change in scenery and focus on Fran and Matt’s relationship was a nice twist from previous books, and I especially chuckled at the way they solved the crime. It was also fun to see some other familiar characters at the inn with Fran and Matt (and their stories tied in perfectly with the plot).

A fun, enjoyable cozy-mystery read.
