The Wellness Journey of a Lifetime is a lively and life-changing new book by Vicki Heath. The book chronicles the successes of the faith-based wellness and weight loss program and offers rich insights from the author about how to live a healthy lifestyle, including numerous other individual success stories and photos.
The journey begins with a verse.Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Mark 12:30The FP4H program is more than weight loss. You will make changes in your thought patterns, your emotions, the way you fuel and recharge your body with food and exercise, and the way you relate to God and others.
• Discover the Live It Plan—not a deprivation diet.
• Learn to choose foods with benefits—not detriments.
• Change your attitude about exercise.
Are you ready to choose the path of loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength?
As with many books on my shelves, I don’t remember where I got this one. I wanted a quick and easy read, though, and it looked like it would be one, so I decided to read it.
This was a weird book to rate because I found the information to be fascinating and encouraging, but the book wasn’t exactly what I’d expected. I thought it would include more info on what the wellness journey looks likes; in reality, the book points you to First Place 4 Health, a program that the author considers the wellness journey of a lifetime.
Be prepared: this is very much a sales pitch for First Place 4 Health. You won’t walk away with the information you need to achieve physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, but you’ll know where to find it.
If you’ve struggled with wellness in any area (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health), this book will likely encourage you and point you in the right direction for your next steps.
