This is one of those books I picked up from BAM based purely on the cover — I knew nothing about the author or story before I started reading.

This was a fun rom com set in Australia featuring an enemies-to-lovers trope (though that does resolve pretty quickly) between an Australian woman and an Anglo-Indian man whose Indian grandma isn’t thrilled about the love connection.

The immediate physical attraction tipped me off that it would be a steamy romance, but it was as descriptive as some I’ve read. It did get a bit wordy at times (which slowed down the pace, so I skimmed a few chapters), which is why I gave it three stars. Still, it captured my attention enough that I’ll likely check out other books by this author.
