What was your favorite picture book as a kid?
Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Suess. Not only did I love all the crazy pictures, I enjoyed the rhymes and funny combinations of words. I always like a good sense of humor. Sometime as an adult, I’m sure I ate green eggs and ham for the fun of it!
What was the first “real” book (with chapters and without pictures) you remember reading?
The Bobbsey Twins. They were considered chapter books, although they might have had a few pictures in them. Eventually, I took up reading the Hardy Boys book series and Tom Swift book series. Both were full of action, mystery, and excitement.
What was your most favorite book in high school?
Foundation by Isaac Asimov. I loved the whole series. I read as many of his books as possible and also found other great writers through science fiction magazines and full-length novels
What was your least favorite book in high school?
Any boring (dry) book. If I didn’t think the material applied to me, I read it only because to get good grades. Slogging through some history books was an incredible challenge. Reading technical books put me to sleep.
What was the last novel you read?
I’m not sure. I don’t track them because I read about a chapter at night before I go to sleep. When one book is done, I download another one. I usually read books that have intricate relationships combined with science-fiction. However, the last one I remember reading was the Foundation Series by Isaac Asimov, which I’ve read several times.
What was the last nonfiction book you read?
The Bible. I use it quite a lot. I usually read out of it five days a week. I normally don’t read non-fiction.
Which book lived up to the hype (from the past 1-2 years)?
I don’t listen to the hype. I read what’s available for free or listen to audiobooks when I drive. I look for books by genre.
Which book do you love that needs more hype?
Couldn’t tell you, except for my book series. I don’t track the hype.

At every turn, a sinister Russian and beautiful French woman create peril and catastrophe for the brothers and their canine sidekicks, Thunder and Lightning. In the midst of this global competition including skating, ski jumping and ski racing, bob-sledding, the boys find a trail left by drug-traffickers. The boys make new friends, reconnect with old ones, and form a team to capture the criminals. But who can the boys trust in this cloak and dagger environment? Some have ulterior motives.
