If you follow this blog even distantly, you can see that it’s mostly book reviews. That’s a change I made this year to focus on what we all have in common—a love of reading!
To help me refocus my own reading efforts, I joined two reading challenges this year. The first was by book count: I set a goal of reading 50 books in 2019; I read 93. My other challenge was thematic—I was given a list of book types and I had to find one that fit into that category. I liked that challenge because it made me get out of my comfort zone. The book reviews are already posted, but here’s a look at the books I read (and their categories) in 2019:
A friend/family member recommended: Surrender Bay by Denise Hunter
Based on a true story: Indivisible by Travis Thatcher
That has won an award: First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones
