A Mommy by Christmas is set in Christmas Ridge, Colorado, and is a contemporary romance with a touch of mystery. It is also serving as the first in my own series, “Tails of Christmas Ridge”, featuring a veterinarian, his young son, and his new wife. A Mommy by Christmas: A community care center, a calico cat, and Christmas—can a single middle-aged woman bring a town together in time to celebrate the King’s birthday? Can a widowed father find a reason to join in? And can the pair see God at work in their lives?

I love to write, and I love to help writers. One thing I learned early on is that I cannot possibly write fast enough to keep my readers satisfied, so I began a monthly newsletter that features authors who write clean and sweet or inspirational stories or non-fiction. My writing has nothing to do with how many books I sell, but it’s all about the One I write for and about. Without God, no story is worth telling.
A hybrid author, Donna writes squeaky clean historical and contemporary suspense. She has been published more than 60 times in books; is a member of several writers groups; facilitates a critique group; teaches writing classes; ghostwrites; edits; and judges in writing contests. She loves history and research, traveling extensively for both, and is an avid oil painter. She is taking all the information she’s learned along the way about the writing and publishing process, and is coaching committed career writers.
