Back Story: My friends C & M have five kids. They got married when they were 18 and started right away; he’s 15 now, and the baby is 3, so there’s a lot of space there. Very few years without diapers 😉
C & M are two of my favorite people, and I adore their kids, so when C had a chance to go to Hawaii for two weeks and take M with him (they got a GREAT deal…but that’s another story), I did what any part-time working, C & M loving friend would do – I volunteered to babysit.
I’m here for the first week. These kids are great 🙂 I’ve been having so much fun. It’s out of that fun that this week’s writing prompt was born. Here’s the scenario:
You’re driving five kids to school: boy – 15, girl – 11, girl – 9, girl – 5, boy – 3. What are the kids talking about? Let me sit in the driver’s seat with you and listen to the early morning chatter…
(Maybe I’ll take Friday’s post to share with you some of the best things that I’ve heard out of the back seat this week!)
