After my dad died, the last thing I expected in his will was an arranged marriage…

But that’s exactly what I got. To marry a stranger so that our companies could merge—or else, my father’s business would be liquidated.

I did my best to accept it as God’s will for me.

If only my handsome fiance didn’t hate me, and I wasn’t so curious about the dark secrets lurking in his family…

ALEXANDER STEELE: Cold-hearted. Hard-headed. Absolutely jaded. And he doesn’t believe in love – or expect that any of the above will change with the marriage contract he signs.

KATERINA DEVEREAUX: Gentle. Selfless. Just as stubborn as her future husband. She doesn’t know if she can change him – but she has faith that God will.

I don’t remember when or why I picked up this book, but I found it on my Kindle and am determined to read through the books there. I’m sure the cover attracted me, because that’s the style I like, and I’m glad I did.

This arranged marriage contemporary romance sees opposites forced together, with one determined not to fall in love with the other determined to stay focused on God. While this is billed as a romance–and even though the romance is front and center–the real heart of this book is the hero’s transformation. His struggle with his past and unworthiness is really central to this book, and it’s VERY heavy on the Christian message, which one would expect with its title. 🙂

I especially loved Lam’s emphasis on the family we find in Christ, as many people will never have the family they really want, but we can find all of that love in God and in the body.

A sweet, inspirational read.
