This was a hard book to read, but also inspirational. Hard because you don’t want to believe so many women can endure such horrible circumstances in their lives–the horrors of their lives are truly traumatic.
Those horrors, however, aren’t the point of their essays. Despite the darkness and trials, each of these women found freedom, hope, and peace. No matter how great the violence against them, God was bigger.
