Most of us know that our lives have purpose. But somehow day-to-day moments cloud our perspective and we lose sight of God’s grace and purpose for our life. Everyday Obedience will help you better understand the correlation of how God’s grace coupled with your obedience leads you to unexpected freedom as you walk forward in holy living.
Focus on quality, not quantity―no fear or intimidation. Make each minute of your valuable time count, and find a renewed enjoyment and connection with God’s Word.
I’ve been studying biblical obedience, so I picked up a copy of this book based on the title. I knew it was a Bible study, but wasn’t really prepared for it to be a Bible study.
As a book on obedience, I give it three stars–there’s some good information in there, but essentially the same view on obedience shared over and over again (I was hoping for a more multi-faceted look at the topic).
As a Bible study, I’d give it four stars–I don’t do a lot of pre-written Bible studies, so I don’t have a lot to compare it to. Based on my enjoyment of it, four stars work.
Overall, I enjoyed the type of Bible study Orr demonstrates and encourages, but I was more interested in learning about obedience than learning this style of Bible study. The emphasis was definitely more on the style of study than the topic of study.
Not a bad book, but not exactly what I was expecting. Get your copy here!
