When Ellie Kendall tragically loses her husband she feels her life is over. But eventually she’s ready for a new start – at work, that is. She doesn’t need a new man when she has a certain secret visitor to keep her company…

Zack McLaren seems to have it all, but the girl he can’t stop thinking about won’t give him a second glance. If only she’d pay him the same attention she lavishes on his dog.

Moving to North London, Ellie meets neighbour Roo who has a secret of her own. Can the girls sort out their lives? Guilt is a powerful emotion, but a lot can happen in a year in Primrose Hill…

Another fun, sweet, will-they-ever-get-there romance by Jill Mansell. This book didn’t quite grab my attention as quickly as her other books, but there was a lot happening and it all pulled me in: Ellie and Tony trying to figure out how to move on past her husband’s/his son’s death; Roo learning how to adapt to life out of the spotlight; Zach learning to work with the object of his affection.

Like the previous Mansell books I’ve read, the subplots weave in and out of the main plot with ease, each one adding another layer of romance and intrigue. As I said above, this book did drag on a bit, but I once again loved the characters and couldn’t wait to find out how it ended.

If you’re looking for a fun romance without the steamy scenes, you’ll enjoy this book. Get your copy here!
