This is a beauty – looking back to the beginning of my blog, I didn’t know what to put on a “writing blog.” No joke, I thought this would work. Thank you Lord for showing me the light. Dear reader friends, please don’t ever do something like this…unless you’re trying to cure insomnia.

Overall I feel like last week was pretty successful. It’s been busy at home because we’re getting ready for the winter. It’s takes some time to wrap our windows (50 year old single pane glass…they need to be wrapped) and transition closets and such. However, we’ve accomplished a lot, so I’m hoping to get writing more. Here’s last week’s run down:

– Added 2000+ words to novel #2

Mon. 10/13
– Wrote short story for contest
– Read/reviewed articles for writers’ site

Tues. 10/14
– Blogged
– Contacted publishing house
– Contacted ERN editor; picked up story leads

Wed. 10/15

– Added 1000 words to #2
– COMPUTER CRASHED! Returned it…

Thur. 10/16

– LM for another potential interview for ERN
– Reformatted Character Sketch Worksheet
– Rewrote one Character Sketch for #2
– Revised #2 (changing direction); added 500 words

Fri. 10/17
– Three more Character Sketches for #2
– Wrote questions for Sat. interview
– Picked up assignment for VSM
– Added 600 words to #2; revised most recent chapter

Sat. 10/18
– Interview for ERN
– Started 1st draft of ERN article
– Continued #2 revision for new direction
– Writing Class

As far a length/plot development I’m about half way done with a first draft for novel #2. I just want to get the first draft on paper! Then I’ll start the revision process. However, because I started writing it some plot holes in it, I felt it was necessary to go back and fill those in before I kept going. It just made me feel better :)

Here’s to a good week writing!
