As a child I could never understand why anyone cared about old Ang’s eye. I get it now (sort of). When I started this blog I couldn’t figure out what to write or how to write it. I get that now, too. In fact, I’ve figured out what to do with all of my blogs. I’m recommitting next year to novel writing and blog development. I’ve got a plan my friends, and those always work out, right? Barring any major life changes in 2013, here are my writing goals:

1. Novel: I’m working on Ashley (I refer to my manuscripts by the heroine’s name). I will finish and I will query it to agents and editors. One year. One novel. I can do this.
2. Non-fiction: I recently joined the Evangelical Press Association. I’ve struggled when it comes to finding other outlets for my writing. I’m hoping to make some connections and get my work out there.
3. Editing: I love editing and can’t wait to do some more. I joined the Christian PEN (Publishers and Editors Network) and have been learning more about establishing my business and qualifications. I don’t really know yet how to get more gigs – I may have to expand on this later.
4. Blogging: Ah, the blog. I have three of them, and I’m ready to make them shine. Here’s what I’ve got:

*www.yooperstewart.com: A tribute to my husband, Yooper Stewart – part Michigan Yooper, part Martha Stewart. This is my guilty pleasure. He’s just too fun not to share. Expect one post per month, more if I can find time.
*http://kavicvb.blogspot.com: This used to be The Ramblings, my original blog. I started it as a way to communicate with my out of state relatives, but now we have Facebook. This is getting a makeover and a new theme. There are three main components to my day: my writing, my cooking, and life with Aunt Linda. I’ve decided to combine my experimental cooking and Aunt Linda stories here. Look for use once a month (more if we get really crafty).
*www.karinbeery.com/blog: Here we are. Bored no more! Some aspects shall stay, others shall die. Next year this will be a full service, Writer-Editor-Coach type of blog. Because I love a schedule, here’s what you’ll see each month:

2nd – Featured Author: bio, highlights, and possible interviews
5th – Fiction Fun: writing tips, observations, and other pertinent information
8th – Blogging Basics: ideas and articles to help your blog succeed
12th – Reading Reviews: all writers need to be readers – a look at what I’m reading
15th – Guest Post: a guest will write the post
19th – Focus on Non-Fiction: Essays, articles, poems – whatever suits my fancy
22nd – The Ramblings: the stratosphere’s the limit – you never know what I’ll say.
26th – Edit Me: how to edit, how to interpret an edit, who cares about editing
29th – A Month in Review: a candid look at my life

That’s the current plan for 2013. I may get more specific later. How about you? What are you goals for the new year?
