Coming in April…
Book Two of the Montana Skies Series, Kaydie picks up with the story of Kaydie Kraemer, a pregnant widow haunted by memories of her abusive dead husband. Kaydie ends up with her sister and brother-in-law on their ranch in Montana. Ranch hand Jonah Dickenson is drawn to Kaydie, but his past abandonment issues cloud his emotions. When Cedric Van Aulst comes to Montana from Kaydie’s past, things get even complicated. If she does decided to trust again, will she return to the safety of a familiar past or the excitement of an unknown future?
I read Kaydie without having read the first book in the series, but I’m a big fan of historical westerns, so I was excited to start in the middle of the series. I jumped right in. Though the story is well written, it is very predictable. I found myself able to guess what would happen in most of the book. It’s not the kind of story that will have you up all night needing to know what happens next, but if you’re looking for a sweet story of western romance that you can read at your leisure then I think you’ll enjoy this book.
