He’s a handsome billionaire. She’s not impressed.

Those two short lines made me want to pick up this book, and I’m glad that I did. Billerbeck’s flair for dramedy continues to resonate in her newest release, “A Billion Reasons Why”.

I admit that I did skim some, but I genuinely enjoyed the book. I appreciate that Billerbeck highlighted the 1940s – I love Fred and Ginger, and I rarely read much about them. Because of my love of those movies, I found it easy to understand Katie’s motivations (and I might suggest that you watch one of them before you read this, just to get in the mood).

This book was a fun romp through New Orleans. Her characters capture your attention and tell you just enough to make you want to read the next chapter, and the next, and the next.
