Former Marine Special Operations Colton “Cowboy” Neeley is recovering from a life of bad choices and devastating flashbacks. Piper Blum is hiding from assassins bent on wiping out her family for uncovering a plot to make Israel hemorrhage from within. Nightshade slips into the Holy Land to rescue her father, but can Piper and Colton’s fledgling love survive this brutal mission? Will they stop the Messengers sent to destroy Israel?
Book Two of the Discarded Heroes series, Digitalis follows the Nightshade special ops team through another series of missions and relationships. The story seamlessly weaves the characters circumstances and emotions into an action filled, romantic adventure. I would have liked to read a little more about Max and Sydney (the main characters in book one), but overall Digitalis is a great read. If you like Dee Henderson’s Uncommon Heroes series, you’ll enjoy Kendig’s series.
