Well, it’s in. I finally submitted my manuscript to the Genesis contest.
For those of you unaware, Genesis is sponsored by the American Christian Fiction Writers Association. It’s a contest for unpublished novelists (me!). You can submit 15 pages plus a synopsis – that’s it.
Last year I entered two manuscripts in two contests. This year, I focused on one manuscript (and I may still try to make that second contest).
I know that my writing has improved since last year…I’d like to see what others think. Granted, this isn’t a fool proof method. The judges are different each year, so I’ll have new eyes on it. But, I’ll still have three sets of eyes from the world of publishing who will give me their thoughts on the beginning of my novel. I kinda like that 🙂
I really want to celebrate, but I’m a little too tired for that right now. Maybe later 🙂 I think I’ll just take some time to bask in the glory of having submitted it on time.
Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.
