I’ve been SOOO good about putting up relevant posts that I was starting to feel bad about the irrelevance of today’s post…but, it really does fit with the theme of my blog – my journey to get my novel published. This is just one of those steps…

Last week I didn’t have a single story assigned for either newspaper. This week I have four (due Tues/Wed). The reason this can get tricky is because I HAVE to work on the weekends…but a lot of the people I interview have plans. That leaves me SCRAMBLING Fridays and Mondays to get as much info from them as possible before everyone cuts town.

And then, of course, there’s the ever present house – need to unpack, clean dishes, do laundry.

And did I mention that I can barely button my pants? Yeah…exercising stopped, so I’ve GOT to get back on that bandwagon (because I can’t afford a new wardrobe and my clothes are SOOO uncomfortable).

Two weeks like that result in a post like this – I just haven’t had the time to work on my manuscript, so there’s not much to say about it.

No…WAIT!!!

I DID do something fiction-related this week! (Whew! Didn’t want to let you down).

I registered for the 2010 Festival of Faith & Writing Conference at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. I had never heard of it, but many people (including Chip MacGregor) recommend it, so I’m going to go.

Okay, it 6:50 am, I have to leave the house in 25 minutes and I still haven’t showered or packed a lunch. Yep…on of THOSE days…
