That’s right! I applied for and was accepted as a book review blogger for BookSneeze.com. The site recruits bloggers to read and review books. Here’s how it works:
1) You look at the books available for review (there were five titles today)
2) You select a book that you’d like to read (and if there isn’t one available, just come back later)
3) They mail the book to you
4) You read the book, then review it on your blog, on their website, and on book seller sites (Amazon, Borders, etc.)
5) Done!
I get to choose which genres I want to read, and I can keep the books or give them away. Yeah! I decided to sign up for this because I have a problem with books – I need to read them. I figure this is a good opportunity to support my habit while helping promote some good books! (And I hope they’re good, but I’m not afraid to write a bad review if they aren’t).
So look for the occasional book review! Thought it’s not technically part of my writing craft, it is very much part of my writing journey, because I wouldn’t survive without my reading breaks 🙂
I review for BookSneeze too! Still trying to get used to the new website, as it used to be Thomas Nelson book bloggers, but what a great excuse to read more! Writing the reviews isn't half bad either. I've written both positive and negative reviews, which has been good — they just want you to be honest.
Enjoy the free books, looking forward to seeing what you pick!
