Today I finally finished character interviews with my four main characters for novel #2!! There are a couple of minor characters I’ll be speaking with shortly, but the big guys are done. Woo hoo!!

I’m sure I’ll go back and ask more questions later (because these were my first interviews and I wasn’t sure exactly what to ask), but I’ve got a good start. And I am SOOOO glad I did it!! Why?
1) Because the hero has major issues with his dad (who knew?)
2) The sub-heroine/minor-heroine/most major minor female character (I don’t know – what do you call her?) is NOT a Barbie. She’s the exact opposite, actually. Incredibly beautiful, but very plain. I didn’t know!
3) The heroine isn’t simply self-centered – she’s actually scared (under her faux-finish)
4) He was the only one who didn’t surprise me. But I did discover that he LOVES to learn.
With all of this great info the plot to novel #2 will be making a big shift – I can hardly wait! I might even start this tomorrow. Woo hoo!!
