Oh my…$10 in gift cards to Amazon (you can win too! click on the Swagbucks box on the right, or click here). I’ve already won enough gift cards that I’ve recently purchased:
Getting into Character by Brandilyn Collins
Writing the Breakout Novel by Donald Maass
A Love for Larkspur by Kelsey Kilgore (good quirkiness in this one…I liked it)
Don’t Mess with Moses by Marty Nystrom (for my niece)
Before the Season Ends by Linore Rose Burkard
I paid about 30% of retail value for these books (thanks, Swagbucks!) But now I’ve got another $10 and I’m not sure what to buy.
What do YOU recommend? Craft? Fiction?
(FYI – my fave authors are Janet Evanovich, Dee Henderson, Tamara Leigh, Mary Connealy. Please don’t recommend Karen Kingsbury – she’s good, yes, but too serious for me).
Looking forward to this 🙂
Ooooh, I love freebies. Will check this out; thanks!
As to what you should buy next, I have not read those authors, but have you tried Camy Tang? I think she'd be one you may enjoy, Karin. Superb writing with a little humor and romance.
BTW, hop over to my blog to pick up an award i gave you.
Happy Weekend,
Jen
My favorite historical author, Stephanie Laurens, is coming out with her final book in the Bastion Club series on August 1. I can't wait!!
I am sad to admit that I haven't read any of your favorite authors, but I will check into them. Especially Janet Evanovich. She was the opening session speaker at the RWA conference and Fantastic.
Hi, I just hopped over from Jeanette's blog. I recently read "The Mark of The Loin" triology by Francine Rivers. Set in New Testament time with believable characters, action, spiritual content and an enormous amount of historical research. Wonderful!
Blessings
I've got a new book coming in September, you could buy that. 🙂
I love Janet Evanovich, someone compared my book Nosy in Nebraska to it.
But here's some advice on Evanovich. Start at the beginning. Don't jump in with her latest release in Finger Lickin' Ficteen. Go back to One for the Money. The series works best that way because she makes you fall in love with her characters at the beginning then later she assumes you love them and lets them be absolutely off the wall nuts. If you don't already love them it's hard to takee but if you love them it's hilarious.
