I got up at the butt-crack of dawn so I could sneak in a few minutes to give a quick update. Well, there’s nothing quick about it. I’m at a conference on a great college campus with the #1 ranked food service in the nation (yea!), but they have six computers in the lab and, I’m not kidding you…it took me thirty minutes to get the computer to start, open my short story, and print off all three pages.

But I finally made it here!

Having a great time! Every morning I’m in the continuing education class for fiction – today we’re going to create a character. Exciting! Tomorrow we’re going to start building a plot around that character. And then in the afternoons I can do whatever I want. Yesterday I went to self-editing. Today: writing and selling Christian speculative fiction and writing a novel proposal. Tomorrow: from proposal to publication and rhythm writing. Whew! There’s more on Saturday, but I’m not going to tell you now…that’ll be my incentive to get back to the keyboard before then (good plan, eh?).

Now I’ve had this great idea. I thought that when I got home and had time to blog some more about this trip that I might giveaway one or two recordings of the classes, or possibly some books from the faculty. So this is what I want to know:

What would you like? Are you looking to learn more about a certain topic? Do you simply need a new novel to inspire you? Tell me what you’re looking for so I have an idea of what to pick up. Then I’ll give it away!

I’m not sure yet if I’ll do a random drawing. I might take the most desperate sounding comment and pass the info along 🙂 Since I’m not sure, please tell me why you think you need the CD…once people start leaving comments you’ll realize that you aren’t the only person struggling. We’re all in this together!
