Since I had such a good response to the book give-a-way at the beginning of this month, I’m going to do another one in June. Over this next weekend I’m going to feature my friend Anni Macht-Gibson, author of Unfinished, a book of poetry.

Poetry?

Yep, poetry.

Why?

Because I thoroughly dislike poetry. I enjoyed limericks and acrostics during grade school, but the poetic appeal disintegrated under the watchful eye of my British Lit from 1851 prof and his criticism of my inability to understand the classics. Shiver.

But I met Anni a couple of years ago and she gave me a copy of her book. I decided to read ONE poem (so I could tell her that I did it). I read it. Then I read another one. I’m pretty sure I read three during that sitting.

That’s why I’m featuring her book – because she made poetry interesting to me again. And writing poetry is SO different from crafting a novel that I have enjoyed the contrast. I hope you will, too.

I’m going to open the give-a-way this weekend, May 30-31, and will draw a winner on June 1st.

Hope to see you then!
