Wow, one exciting adventure after another 🙂 How do I keep my feet on the ground?!

I’ve been sending queries out to assorted online publications who are looking for people to submit articles. For the past few weeks I’ve been emailing people with copies of my writing samples, just hoping for a response. Well, last week I got one!

An online magazine based in California contacted me to inform me that I would be added to their list of writers. Then I received a plethora of writing options. I selected one and wrote it! Unfortunately, I received the assignment Tuesday and was at a conference Fri/Sat, and the submission is due tomorrow. Fortunately, I have a mother with a journalism back ground and she did some proofing with me. And now? I’ve submitted my first article, which I hope will be published.

Okay, so I’m not yet brave enough to tell you the name of the publication, but when I finally get something printed, I’ll throw you a bone. Until then…please live with me on the edge as we wait and hope for my VERY FIRST by line. Whew!
