Summer Jenkins day just went from bad to a downright dumpster fire.

Beach Club Bloodshed will keep you on the edge of your seat as Summer and her friends race against time to solve the murder and clear their names.

But with danger lurking around every corner and unexpected twists at every turn, will they be able to crack the case before it’s too late?

I’ve been on a bit of a cozy mystery kick recently, so my sister gifted me with a copy of this book. A new-to-me author, we were both excited about the Hawaiian setting.

Right away, Wellert pulled me into the island atmosphere with lovely descriptions and character dialogue. It quickly escalated into a mystery and adventure that kept the characters running.

This is billed as cozy mystery, but there are some scenes that include more description and/or language than expected.

Overall, this was a fun story, though the writing isn’t the cleanest (most people won’t notice; it’s harder for a book editor to get past).
