I had this great idea – write some essays and post them on my blog. Yeah! That’ll work! Then life happened.

I got busy with subbing, cleaning, house hunting, and other writing. I’ve been writing for other periodicals and editing my manuscript. In between those times I don’t have a lot of free time for writing an essay. Plus, I can’t ever think of anything to write about, so they just don’t seem to happen.

Then I had another realization – I should be submitting these essays. For instance, I’ve got a doozy of an essay that I’m going to write about my experience house hunting. It’s great – Mountain Man and Preppy Girl look for a house. Can you imagine how well that went? It’ll make a great essay…but I’d like to publish it!

So now when I DO produce essays, I’m hesitant to put them on my blog because I want to sell the rights to publish it. Nothing personal, but until y’all (er, Valerie…my loyal reader) start paying me, it makes more sense to write and sell.

And that’s why there hasn’t been anything posted in a while.

Sorry.

I’m gonna go do some more editing. Since the manuscript is already written, I’m thinking about a blurb from that. I just need to find the right one…
