Another first in my writing career – I successfully queried a local paper and sold them reprint rights for an article I wrote for another local paper (I live in a small, rural area – lots of small weekly papers that reach different counties).

This is the first time I’ve been able to write one piece and get paid twice for it! I’m waiting to hear from one other paper, too. Maybe I’ll get three checks for it – woo hoo!!

The best part is that the second paper (GTI) has invited me to submit other articles/ideas. This could keep me nice and busy…and paid 🙂 It’s not a lot, but I won’t complain.

Now I just need to work up the nerve to query the larger publications…I’m getting there!
