Curveball on the Dance Floor

Chris can handle a curveball at the diamond. Can she handle one on the dance floor?

Naturally athletic Christine Novak doesn’t shy away from physical challenges until her older sister needs help on the dance floor. Though she prefers cleats to heels, Chris agrees to help—it’s only for four weeks and for a good cause. But dancing doesn’t come as naturally as throwing a ball, so her sister calls in backup. Handsome, talented, experienced backup.

Tony Caldwell—champion ballroom dancer and Chris’s first childhood crush—agrees to show her the steps, but between her memories of him and the ten-year age gap, Chris struggles to keep her feet in place. Determined to help her succeed, Tony steps out the studio to prove to Chris that she can dance, and that he’s not who she thinks he is.

Extra practice time does more than boost Chris’s confidence. As her nerves subside and reality replaces memories, Chris and Tony become more than dance partners, but their new adult connection might not be enough to overcome the past that catches up to them.

Reviews

“In Curveball on the Dance Floor, readers will be taken through the highs and lows of competitive dance and sports, while cheering for Christine, a female jock, who steps into unfamiliar territory. I raced through this book in a couple of days and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you enjoy dance romance, I think you’ll enjoy too!”

Former competitive dancer Caroline Novak dreams of leaving the corporate world to work with special needs women at the Pathways non-profit, but the organization can’t afford a full-time director. All-American defensive end Ben Allen was on his way to the NFL when a knee injury sent him home and into the same office as Caroline, his best friend’s older sister. When Pathways participates in a Dancing with the Stars-inspired fundraiser, Caroline quickly volunteers, and Ben joins her as the local “star”.

It doesn’t take long for Ben to realize it’s more than a dance competition, and Caroline is more than his best friend’s sister, but after two failed engagements, she’s hesitant to trust her heart with another man. When the NFL calls Ben, it looks like his dream might finally come true—but it could cost them the championship and Caroline her heart.

Reviews

“I couldn’t put it down! Finally Forever is a wonderfully crafted love story from a master story teller. Beery’s characters are genuine and believable in their journey. The dejected former football player and a twice-scorned woman kept this reader on the side-lines cheering for their happily-ever-after.”
