I haven’t gotten much written in the last few days. I blame it on my pendulum.
This is the thing – I do REALLY well writing for a couple of days, but then my house slips into turmoil. So I take a day or two to get my house back into order, and then I neglect my writing. Tis a vicious cycle, but I still haven’t found out how to break it.
At least I had a successful couple of days at home.
I got the food ready for the week and the kitchen clean. That’s the biggest thing for me. When you have a hubby who eats as much as mine, but needs everything in it’s own individual bowl (he won’t take the time to scoop it out of a pot), you go through a LOT of dishes. I can’t imagine what it’ll be like when we have kids. It’s hard enough to keep up with him! Thankfully he bought me a dishwasher last year, so it’s not nearly as bad as it used to be. [Hubby calls the dishwasher the quickest marriage counseling ever :)]
So now I need to get back to writing, but I’m babysitting (which is basically the same as if I was subbing, but it takes a lot longer). At least I could bring my laptop along so I can work on my pages. That’s something I never get to do at school.
And it’s really important that I get something written in the next couple of days, because I already know I’ll be subbing Thurs. and I have jury duty Fri. (ugh). Those days will be a bust.
I’m off now to try to get some more written. I should be able to accomplish quite a bit, actually. I only have one kid right now, and he’s not sure what to think of me, so he’s hiding on the stairs 🙂
When my house is trashed, I have low-level anxiety until it’s cleaned. I totally understand how you feel!
Good luck with your writing. I’m sure you’ll fit it in.
