I had big plans for today’s post – BIG PLANS – but here’s the deal. It’s my birth week. I know, I know. I’m an adult. Birthday’s aren’t a big deal anymore (I’ve had more than three dozen of them). At some point, birthdays are just another day of the week.
This year, my birthday hit a new normal. I scheduled a meeting, went to work, and planned to cook my own dinner. To be honest, I forgot it was my birthday until I checked Facebook and saw my first “happy birthday” wish. It’s just. Another. Day.
Boo!

Forget that, it’s my birthday. Actually, it’s my birth WEEK! That allows me the privilege of calling “birth week!” at any point, kind of like an audible. A home cooked meal tonight? Nah. BIRTH WEEK! Let’s go out to dinner. The floors need cleaning? BIRTH WEEK! I’ll watch House re-runs. Can you mop?
Time to write a relevant blog post? BIRTH WEEK!
Instead of trying to be creative this week, I’m going to phone it in, re-watch Ghostbusters, and share some other posts so I don’t have to overwork my brain. Here are some fun posts about romance novels (which are my favorite, and since it’s my birth week, I can pick the topic):
What do romance novels offer readers? It’s more than just a sweet kiss!
Chasing happy endings (the best part of any romance novel).
The heart of the matter: what’s your reason for doing what you do?
Your turn – what are some of your favorite articles/posts about romance novels?
