I know I’ve said this before, and I feel kind of silly saying it again, but I just can’t get past the fact that one of my FAVORITE things about being a writer is the typing! I love the smooth keys beneath my fingers, and the muted clacking as my fingers jump around, punching out news and stories.
I LOVE IT!
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the sound of writing. It just makes me smile.
What’s one of your favorite things about being a writer?
That's so not silly – I've written about it, too. I used to do medical transcription, but I've gotten too lazy and artritic to continue. There's something so satisfying to see the words appear on the screen, a kind of a bridge between what you're thinking and doing, almost like that movie my kids likes – the one where the character does everything that's written.
Sitting in my pjs and writing. Seriously! I love it… it's comfort to the maximum. Bottom AND top 😉
There's something magical about feeling the keyboard under your tips, isn't there?
Have a great weekend!
I'm so glad you understand me!! 😀
I guess I'm a traditionalist; I love the way a pen or pencil sounds as I drag it across a page or the smell of freshly deposited ink.
And then there's the evidence of something already written: the texture on the back of a page after something's been written on the front. It's like I'm actually touching an accomplishment.
Only slightly related, but I also love the distinct fragrance of an old book: musty, dusty, and full of wisdom!
Oooh, thanks for asking.
I love the clickety, snackety, tappity sound of typing, too.
I also love when a word or phrase pops into my little pea brain, and flows out my fingers onto the page. When I look at it, I say, "I'm not that smart–thank you, Lord!"
Love you, you creative lady,
Jen
